          Arthur Woldemar Meyer's Biography

          German surgeon, one of the first to successfully carry out surgical embolectomy in massive pulmonary embolism. He was the second son of Hans Horst Meyer, a German pharmacologist. In Berlin on November 14, 1933, Arthur shot his wife and then committed suicide. Arthur’s wife was Jewish, and claims were made that he was also Jewish.
