          Buzz Miller's Biography

          American dancer whose specialty was contemporary ballet and modern dance.
          Born to a large Mormon family, he went on to an illustrious career as a Broadway and Hollywood dancer. In the 1950s he was considered the country’s top male dancer. Some of the Broadway shows which showcased his talents were “Two’s Company,” “Bells Are Ringing,” “Funny Girl” and both stage and film versions of “The Pajama Game.”
          Miller received a B.A. in music from Arizona State College and spent two years in the Army during WWII. At age 23 he took dancing lessons and within a year, had landed his first Broadway show, “Magdalena.”He toured with nightclub acts throughout the country and in Europe and was a founding member of the American Dancemachine. He died of of emphysema in New York City on February 23, 1999, age 75.
