          Carole Bouquet's Biography

          French model and actress known internationally as the face of Chanel #5 perfume from 1986 to 1997. She has appeared in more than 60 films since 1977. In 1990, she was awarded the César Award for Best Actress for her role in Bertrand Blier’s Too Beautiful for You. She appeared in a James Bond film and was also seen in Luis Bunuel’s 1977 cult surrealistic film That Obscure Object of Desire. Like the French actress Catherine Deneuve, she has been described as a cold beauty.
          She and her sister Laurence were raised by their single father, Robert Bouquet, a building services engineer who had divorced their mother, Micha Christiane (nee Bayle) who died in 2012. Carole Bouquet attended a Catholic school run by nuns.
          Her son, Dimitri was born on 16 November 1981, with producer Jean-Pierre Rassam. In 1987, she had a second son, Louis, with director and photographer Francis Giacobetti. In 1992, she married physician Jacques Leibowitch; they divorced in 1996.
