          Christian Borchsenius's Biography

          Norwegian jurist, judge, and acting Justice of the Supreme Court. From 1956 he was employed at the Ministry of Justice’s legal department, where he became a deputy director. In 1974, he became a judge at the Eidsivating Court of Appeal (from 1995 Borgarting Court of Appeal). He was a member of a number of councils and law committees.
          Borchsenius was interested in genealogy and wrote the book “Slekten Borchsenius” (Oslo 1965) which he updated several times. He wrote articles on genealogical topics in Norsk Slektshistorisk Tidsskrift. He was also interested in heraldry and for a number of years was an auditor in the Norwegian Heraldic Association.
          Borchsenius died on 8 August 2006 aged 79.
