          Gregorio Torres Quintero's Biography

          Mexican teacher, educator, storyteller, and innovative educational systems. In 1892 he founded in Colima the primary model, teacher training and school tutors. He was director of the School Porfirio Diaz and for a short period was head and director of Public Instruction. from 1904 he was head of Primary Education and Normal. From 1910 to 1911 he was vice president and president of the National Congress of Primary Education. He taught at the National Preparatory School and the Normal School of Teachers. He advised the Ministry of Education.
