          Karl Mühleck's Biography

          German Nazi military personnel, an Obersturmführer (First Lieutenant) in the Waffen-SS during World War II who was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II. Mühleck was awarded his Knight’s Cross, for his actions during the Battle of Kharkov on 23 July 1943, when his platoon broke up a Russian tank assault, with Mühleck destroying 7 tanks himself. He died on 26 December 1944 aged 24 in the Ardennes.
