          Mauricio Magdaleno's Biography

          Mexican journalist, essayist, novelist, and screenwriter who was part of one of the most renowned creative teams in Mexican cinema. Along with director Emilio “El Indio” Fernández and cinematographer Gabriel Figueroa, he collaborated as the screenwriter on films such as Flor Silvestre (1943), María Candelaria (1944), Río Escondido (1947), Salón México (1948), Pueblerina (1948) and La malquerida (1949).
          He died on 30 June 1986 in Mexico City, aged 80.
