          Streeter Stuart's Biography

          American news journalist, a legendary HUB radio and TV newsman, well known for the quality of his powerful voice delivering the news on radio for over 30 years. With a B.A. then an M.A. in modern languages from the University of Oklahoma, he became a high school teacher, then university professor of modern languages. He was first hired in 1940 for WBOS, gradually becoming a regular on the news station. A good reporter, he dug for his own stories.
          Stuart marred and had three kids; ten grandkids. He had two half-sisters and a half-brother. After he retired in 1973 at age 65, he ran a local Belmont Nutrition Center. He died 6/28/1993, Jamaica Plain, MA.
