          Arne Monn-Iversen's Biography

          Norwegian violinist and pianist who was a violinist with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra from 1953 to 1996. He received piano lessons and studied violin with Ernst Glaser. From 1959 to 1960 he played with the Hindark Quartet, and later founded the Monn Quartet with the violinists Sonja Wold and Geoffrey Gotch, and cellist Geir Tore Larsen.
          Monn-Iversen was a very active studio musician and acted as concertmaster and director of studio bands on hundreds of recordings.
          Monn-Iversen died on 15 July 2014 aged 83.
