          Ferdinand Riedinger's Biography

          German surgeon and university teacher in Würzburg, whose clinical work includes studies on artificial blood vacancies, diseases and injuries of the thorax and its contents, injuries to the chest and broken bones. Along with Commotio thoracis he coined the now commonly used term Thoraxkontusion. He died on 29 March 1918 in Würzburg.
