Showcasing Your Experience, Education, Testimonials & Specialties
As a Pro member, you can go beyond a simple bio and pricing by adding detailed experience, education, testimonials, and specialties to your profile. These sections help potential clients understand your background and decide if you are the right guide for them.
Professional Experience
The Experience section lets you list key roles that relate to your Human Design work,
coaching, counseling, or other relevant fields.
To add or edit experience:
- Go to your Profile page.
- Click the Experience section or an Add Experience button.
- Fill in fields like:
- Title: e.g. “Human Design Guide”, “Life Coach”, “Astrology Consultant”.
- Company / Practice: Your practice name or employer.
- Location: City, country (optional).
- Start and End Dates: Include “current” when still ongoing.
- Description: What you did and what types of clients you served.
- Save your entry.
Multiple entries can show your journey from early roles to your current practice.
Education & Training
The Education section lets you highlight formal training, courses, and certifications,
including Human Design and other modalities.
Typical fields:
- Institution: School, academy, or training organization.
- Degree / Certification: e.g. “IHDS Analyst Training”, “Coaching Certification”.
- Field of Study: e.g. “Human Design”, “Psychology”, “Coaching”.
- Dates: Start and end date (or year).
- Description: Any key focus areas or achievements.
This gives visitors confidence that you have invested in your own education and skill‑building.
Client Testimonials
Testimonials are powerful social proof. Approved testimonials appear on your profile
and help potential clients feel safer working with you.
Key points about testimonials:
- Each testimonial usually includes:
- Client name (or initials, depending on your policy).
- A star rating (for example 1–5 stars).
- Written feedback about their experience.
- Testimonials may require moderation/approval before they are publicly visible.
- You can manage which testimonials appear on your profile.
When requesting testimonials from clients, always follow your local ethical and privacy
guidelines, and get clear consent to publish their words.
Specialties (What You’re Known For)
Specialties help people find you when they are looking for a particular kind of support
or focus, such as:
- Career guidance
- Relationships
- Parenting
- Business strategy
- Emotional regulation
- Creativity and purpose
On the backend, specialties are stored in a dedicated list and linked to you via a
“user specialties” table. In the app, you typically select your specialties from
dropdowns or a tag selector in your Professional or Profile settings.
Choosing your specialties:
- Pick the areas you genuinely enjoy working with.
- Be selective—too many specialties can make your profile feel unfocused.
- Update them over time as your practice evolves.
How These Sections Affect the Directory
In the Professionals directory:
- People can filter by specialties, languages, experience level,
and sometimes more. - Clients looking for a specific type of guide (for example “IHDS certified, speaks Spanish,
available online, career focus”) can find you more easily if your profile is complete. - Higher quality profiles tend to attract more profile views and inquiries.
Best Practices for a Strong Professional Profile
- Keep experience and education accurate and up to date.
- Use clear, client‑friendly language in your descriptions.
- Collect testimonials gradually and highlight the most representative ones.
- Align your specialties with the types of clients you most want to serve.
Combined with your Professional Settings and optional
IHDS certification, these sections help you present a complete and
trustworthy picture to potential clients.
