Using a Brand Voice to customize hd.report links and reports

Professional FeaturesUpdated Dec 3, 20253 min read

Your Brand Voice directly controls how your AI reports read, both inside your
account and on the public hd.report links you share with clients. This article
explains how to connect the two for a fully white‑label experience.

How Brand Voice Affects Report Content

When you select a Brand Voice while configuring a report, the AI uses that voice for:

  • Section titles and headings (where appropriate).
  • All paragraphs and explanations in each section.
  • Examples, metaphors, and encouragement woven into the text.

This means the report will sound like your unique way of explaining Human Design,
instead of generic textbook language.

Applying Brand Voice When You Create a Report

  1. Open the Report Generator.
  2. Select your client’s chart.
  3. On the configuration screen, find the Brand Voice dropdown.
  4. Choose:
    • Default Voice for a neutral style, or
    • One of your custom Brand Voices for a personalised tone.
  5. Finish setting up topic, depth, sections, language, and other options.
  6. Click Generate Report.

Every section of the report, and the version visible on the hd.report link, will now
be written using the Brand Voice you selected.

How Brand Voice Appears on hd.report Links

The hd.report link does not show “Brand Voice settings” to your client. Instead, your
Brand Voice is reflected in the actual text they read:

  • The language may feel warm and encouraging, or direct and professional.
  • Explanations may be beginner‑friendly or aimed at more advanced readers.
  • Stories, metaphors, and wording will match the style you described.

As a result, your hd.report pages feel like a natural extension of your brand, not a generic tool.

Changing Brand Voice for Existing Reports

Updating a Brand Voice does not automatically rewrite existing reports.
For existing reports, you have two main options:

  • Regenerate sections:
    • Open the report.
    • Click Regenerate on a section you want to update.
    • Optionally add new instructions to better match your updated voice.
    • The new version of that section will use your current Brand Voice and instructions.
  • Create a new report:
    • Configure a fresh report for the same chart.
    • Select your updated Brand Voice.
    • Generate and share the new hd.report link.

Best Practices for Branded hd.report Links

  • Write your Brand Voice description as if you are briefing a copywriter:
be clear about tone, audience, and what you don’t want.
  • Use a slightly different Brand Voice for different offers (for example,
“Beginner Friendly” vs “Professional & Direct”).
  • Skim each report quickly before sending the hd.report link to ensure it matches your standards.
  • Add a short custom introduction or note at the top of the report when needed for extra context.

When you combine a well‑designed Brand Voice with hd.report links, your clients receive
Human Design reports that look and feel like they were created entirely under your brand.
